Realistic mock tests
No matter how hard we try, conducting a mock test yourself does not provide the same experience for your student as driving with a complete stranger who is judging them!
Use LADI connections to offer your students more realistic mock tests. Ask another member of the LADI group to conduct a mock test for your student. And while they do that, you can conduct a mock test for one of their students. EASY
See below for a suggested plan of how to organise it...
Organising a mock test
Send a shout out on the LADIs whatsapp group to ask if anyone is available to do a mock test for one of your students.
Hopefully someone will reply and offer to conduct a mock test in return for you doing the same for them.
Ideally the 2 ADIs will arrange to mock-examine each other’s students at the same time so as not to interfere with their regular timetables
All details to then be arranged between the 2 ADIs
However, I suggest the following:
Meet and finish at the Driving Test Centre
Charge £40 for a 1-hour session to include the mock test; debrief and possibly revisit any problem areas if there’s time.
Student to pay the mock examiner directly instead of paying their regular ADI for their normal lesson
If you can, wear a hi-vis vest to conduct the mock test (It can be distracting for the student to have a luminous lemon sitting next to them in their test!)
Use a DL25 form available here Driving test marking sheet - GOV.UK

Ultimately, we’re all professionals here. Do whatever you need to do to make it work for your convenience and the benefit of your student.
