Terms and Conditions
By submitting your driving lesson enquiry and booking you are agreeing that you understand and accept the Terms and Conditions related to the provision of driving lessons with your Digby Driving School Driving Instructor.

-
Pupils must certify that they hold a valid driving licence to drive Digby Driving School’s tuition vehicles.
-
A driving licence check will be undertaken before or at the start of the first lesson using the DVLA website https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence
-
Pupils must inform their instructor immediately if they receive any endorsements on their driving licence during the period they are receiving tuition.
-
Pupils must pass the DVSA eyesight check before starting their driving lessons. Driving lessons will be cancelled without refund should pupils fail this assessment.
-
Pupils must inform their instructor if they are taking any medication or if there is any reason why they should not go ahead with a planned lesson.
-
Pupils must provide their instructors with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice to cancel a driving lesson. Should the pupil fail to give the instructor adequate notice, then the pupil is liable to pay the full driving lesson fee.
-
Instructors are entitled to cancel a lesson if the pupil does not arrive for their lesson within 10 minutes of the agreed start time. The lesson will be charged in full.
-
Standard lessons are 2 hours long unless by mutual prior agreement. If for any reason it is not possible to deliver the full duration of a driving lesson (eg traffic delays) any remaining time will be added to a later driving lesson. It is the responsibility of the pupil to ensure that this is logged.
-
Instructors reserve the right to rearrange lessons at short notice in the event of mechanical breakdown or other difficulty outside their control.
-
Instructors are at liberty to cancel a driving lesson without liability to themself if they have reason to believe that a pupil is not in a fit state to proceed (eg through mental or physical illness or under the influence of drink or drugs)
-
Pupils should make payment for each lesson at least 24 hours before the driving lesson(s) taking place, unless by prior arrangement.
-
Digby Driving School reserves the right to change the hourly lesson rate at any time for new driving lesson bookings. We will ensure that we provide reasonable prior notification to pupils.
-
Driving tests may only be arranged with the prior agreement of both the instructor and the pupil.
-
Instructors reserve the full right to withhold the use of their tuition vehicle for a driving test if they do not feel that the pupil is ready to take their test.
-
Pupils must make a payment to their Digby Driving School Instructor directly for use of their tuition vehicle and time spent travelling to and from the test centre for a driving test. Payment for sitting a practical driving test is paid directly to the DVSA, however this does not include the use of a tuition vehicle.
-
Pupils should be aware that their instructor’s primary objective is to promote road safety and in doing so, they may be required to take control of the vehicle. Instructors will make every effort to instruct pupils to the highest standard but can in no way be held liable for any errors that pupils may make whilst driving unaccompanied by their instructor, either before or after passing their driving test.
-
The instructor will accept no liability for accidents, injury or damage to any Third Party (including the pupil) caused by pupils during a lesson.
-
Your Instructor is not liable to You for any of the following losses which You suffer as a result of any actual or alleged breach of Contract or duty: Loss of profits, loss of sales or business, delay in obtaining full UK driving licence, or financial or economic loss;
-
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions will affect any statutory rights you may have as a consumer.
-
Any complaints are to be dealt with in accordance with the ADI (Approved Driving Instructor) Code of Practice.
-
Digby Driving School reserves the right to change and amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. In the event that any changes are made, the revised Terms and Conditions shall be posted on https://digbydriving.wixsite.com/pass/terms-and-conditions
